In March 2015, the Weston-super-Mare Museum was awarded a Heritage Lottery Fund grant to refurbish the museum. This means that the museum will be closed to the public until 2017. During this time, the building and displays will be transformed with updated and engaging information and displays, as well as increased accessibility for visitors with reduced mobility. Museum staff and volunteers will also be conducting outreach work, including attending community events and leading a learning and reminiscence programme.
Updates will be posted regularly on this website, as well as other channels, such as our Facebook and Twitter pages, so that everyone can see the progress and get a sneak preview before our grand re-opening in 2017!
