During the refurbishment, Weston Museum is developing a learning programme for local schools and groups. This currently consists of in-school learning sessions for Key Stage 2, and handling boxes for Key Stages 1 and 2, but is constantly evolving and open to tailoring, so feel free to contact the team with enquiries. The Museum offers a handling box hire service on a number of topics; they contain a mixture of original objects, replicas, books, sounds, images and information sheets and can also sometimes be supplemented or tailored with extra information. Handling boxes are available to hire at £25 for a 2 week period and can be collected from central Weston on the Friday before the hire period. If you would like to enquire about or book a handling box, just contact the museum team.

(please note that the documents below are PDF documents - if you are having trouble opening them, then please check that you have an up to date Adobe PDF viewer or similar programme installed on your computer or device. Programmes like this can usually be downloaded for free online, just head to a search engine)
Purple buttons are generally geared towards Key Stage 2 and pink buttons are geared towards pre-school or Key Stage 1, but the wonderful thing about objects is that they can be used for many ages and abilities, so this is not a hard and fast rule!
