Each year Weston Museum plays host to a number of events which provide opportunities for both enthusiasts and families to enjoy a great day out.
That’s The Way To Do It: Punch and Judy Through The Ages is a new family friendly touring exhibition created in association with The Fedora Group. It tells the story of Punch and Judy, our nation’s most celebrated puppets, and their development over time.
The exhibition will evoke nostalgic memories of seaside holidays and reveal the stories of local Punch and Judy Professors, whilst exploring the meaning and relevance of Punch and Judy in the twentieth century.
The exhibition is free to enter, but visitors are encouraged to help support the museum through making a donation in one of the stands around the museum. The exhibition will be open during standard museum opening times of 10-5 Monday to Sunday.
Somerset and Devon have long been tourist destinations. The country air, market towns, beaches and fossil coasts are all key West Country attractions. Discover how people enjoyed their leisure time through a display of historic documents.
Free entry, this display will be shown in the museum’s Learning Space between 10 and 3.30.
