Weston Museum’s exciting new temporary exhibition on facial hair and tattoos through the ages features both historical and modern examples of self expression. A photographer has been out capturing some local faces to feature amongst the range of beards, mustaches and body art.
Come along and compare your own styles and artwork with others from across the area and across time!
The exhibition is free entry and will be open during standard museum opening times of 10am – 5pm, 7 days a week. There will also be a variety of activities and events for all ages running alongside the exhibition, with talks for those interested in learning more and pirate themed activities for families!
As part of Weston-super-Mare’s new Literary Festival, the museum will be hosting a Pirate Party!
Bring your kids in to take part in pirate themed activities and sessions, from crafts to storytelling and the chance to win a prize for the best costume. Timings for activities and details of how to book on to the free activity sessions will be released closer to the date.
We will have a competition to find the best World Book Day costume, so bring your children in after school to show off their outfits and have their picture taken. The pictures will go up on our social media and we will then pick a few favourites for everyone to vote on. The winner and two runners up will win museum goodie bag prizes!
