Our ever popular History Week is back! From Monday to Friday, there will be different eras moving through time up to the Twentieth Century, with reenactors on some days or the chance to immerse yourself in historical living on others.
On Thursday, you can take part in a Victorian experience, where children can dress up like a Victorian, try their hand at washing chores or see if they would survive in a Victorian school room with a strict teacher! You can then try some food, play some games and hear a story from the time.
The museum is free entry, but this session must be booked in advance and takes place in our Learning Space. Tickets cost £5 per child or £8 for 2 children (accompanying adults are free, but there is only space for 1 adult per child).
Tickets can be booked in advance by either popping into the museum or calling 01934621028, from 27th January onwards. If you wish to pre-register a place during our January closure period (8th-26th Jan), please email the museum at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will contact you from 27th January to take the payment, which will confirm the place (payments must all be received by at least a week prior to the event).
