There were approximately 3,000 – 5,000 items to pack so 120 plastic boxes, 4 enormous rolls of bubble wrap and hundreds of little plastic bags came in handy. We learnt that working together is fun and faster than struggling alone. We also found out that the brown packaging tape sticks to everything – cardboard, bubble wrap and your fingers, clothes and hair!

There have been plenty of challenges

such as packing the pictures.

The packing is due to be completed by the end of July ready for a removal company to transfer our precious collection to the Somerset Heritage Centre in Taunton. Also around the end of July Katherine and Tina will relocated their activities to new office space in the Badger Centre in Wadham Street.
