Accessibility

At Weston Museum, we are committed to making our spaces welcoming and accessible to everyone. We strive to ensure all visitors can enjoy our exhibitions, facilities, and experiences comfortably, and we are continually working to improve access for all members of our community.

Please see below what we have to offer to accommodate your visit to us!

General Access
Our Museum is designed to be accessible and welcoming to everyone! Wide aisles allow easy access for wheelchair users, and a lift is available to reach the museum galleries for those who cannot manage stairs. Seating is provided throughout the galleries for rest breaks during your visit. For those with limited mobility, a carpet runner can be arranged to help navigate the cobbled courtyard (please contact the museum in advance of your visit).
Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs are warmly welcomed throughout the museum. We are committed to ensuring all visitors can enjoy their experience comfortably and accessibly.
Toilet and Baby Changing Facilities
The museum offers an accessible toilet equipped with baby changing facilities for your convenience. We are also proud to be a breastfeeding-friendly space, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable visit for all families.
Accessible Events
Accessible events are held at intervals, please refer to our 'What's On' page for further information.
Access Policy
We are committed to making the museum as accessible as possible for everyone. To find out more, you can read our Access Policy, which outlines our approach and ongoing commitment.
Audio Tour
An audio description tour can be accessed through QR codes within the galleries, this gives more information about some of the star items on display!
Clara's Cottage
PLEASE NOTE - Due to the nature of Clara's Cottage being built in 1865, this part of the museum is unfortunately not fully accessible to wheelchair users due to narrow corridors and a staircase
