History Week is back this February Half Term! Come and explore the past from the Ancient World up to the Victorians, with hands on activity sessions and amazing reenactors.
From Tuesday to Friday we have activity sessions in our Learning Space exploring different eras:
Tuesday – Ancient Worlds
Wednesday – Roman Invasion
Thursday – The Vikings
Friday – The Victorians
Workshop times: 10.30-11.15, 11.30-12.15 & 1-1.45 pm
On Thursday, we will also be joined for the day by Viking reenactors from the Draca Beordor Viking reenactment group in our Courtyard area. Come along to learn about what life was like in the Viking era with crafts and woodworking, alongside weapons and silver!
The Vikings were more than just raiders, find out about their amazing longships, their fun games and their intricate runes in our action-packed workshop!
Tickets for sessions in the Learning Space cost £6 per child and can be purchased via Ticketsource or by calling or popping in to the museum. Pre-booking recommended. There is no cost for entry to the Courtyard area to meet the groups.
These sessions are most suitable for children of school age and their grown-ups, but are accessible to all ages and abilities with adult support. Accompanying adults do not need to purchase a separate ticket.
