Mayor Councillor Ciaran Cronnelly shared his enthusiasm for the competition, saying, “I’m launching an exciting competition for children aged 7-11 to draw a picture representing ‘Christmas in Weston-super-Mare.’ I’d love to see as many children and schools involved in the competition as possible, and I’m looking forward to seeing all of the brilliant pictures. Parents and guardians of Weston-super-Mare – if you’re looking for something for your 7-11 year-old child to do over the school holidays, then give them some paper and let them draw, but don’t forget to drop off their work of art at Weston Museum so it can be entered into the competition!”
