George Brendon is an author and researcher specialising in matters relating to West Country history. His book examines the places in the West Country visited by Emperor Haile Selassie of Ethiopia during his exile in Bath in the 1930s after the Italians invaded his country. These locations include Weston-Super-Mare, Taunton, Exeter, Plymouth, Penzance, Zennor and many others. There are also personal reflections on the places visited and a look at some of the other interesting legends and characters associated with them.
