Hands on and exploratory session focusing on learning a textile technique, including its history and practise. This pair of workshop sessions will explore band weaving and start with learning the background of weaving technology and setting up a rigid heddle to weave a strap. The project resources are then taken home to work on during the break between sessions and in the second session the textile piece is finished to take home. There will also be a chance to explore other linked textile techniques including inkle weaving, tablet weaving and lucet braiding.
