Staying Safe

You notice a few changes to the museum when you visit. That is because the safety of our guests, staff and volunteers is our top priority. Please do not visit if you have any symptoms of Coronavirus, if you are awaiting a test result, or if you have been contacted by NHS: Test and Trace.

Which Facilities Are Available?

Clara’s Café

Clara’s Café offers a good range of delicious food & drink. From our homemade cakes and loose leaf tea to our cherished lunch options, you’ll be sure to find something you love! Fancy something a little more extravagant? Our afternoon teas can be booked in advance from just £12.00 per person!
Our opening times are Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 – 15:00.

Gift Shop

Our gift shop is home to over 25 local suppliers, who each create something unique and handcrafted. We love to support local crafters, authors and producers, as it helps support Weston’s local economy. Our suppliers mean we have something for everyone, as well as something for each budget.

Clara’s Cottage

Step back in time as you enter Clara’s Cottage. A traditional Victorian home showcasing the history of the amazing Clara Payne.

Toilets

The toilets are open. They will be cleaned regularly and will operate on a one-in, one-out basis.

Lift

Our lift will be available to those with reduced mobility who wish to access the galleries upstairs. Only one household/social bubble will be allowed to use the lift at one time.

Community Gallery

The Community Gallery will be open with a brand new exhibition. Guests should only enter the gallery if it is clear to do so and only with members of their own household/social bubble.

Social Distancing

Safety Screens

Screens will be in place at service points to help keep everyone safe where social distancing is not possible.

NHS: Test and Trace

All visitors will be required to check in on arrival. These details will be held in accordance with the NHS Test and Trace guidelines.

Reduced Capacity

We will operate on a reduced capacity whilst open to the public. Once we have reached that capacity, you may be asked to wait until it is safe to enter.

Hand Sanitiser Stations

Stations will be positioned around the building and hand washing facilities are available on site.

Face Coverings

We will adhere to the latest government advice in regards to face coverings. Please check the latest advice here before your visit.
