Know Your Place – Photography Exhibition

Museum volunteers will be celebrating Volunteers Week, by holding a photographic exhibition at Weston Museum Tuesday 1st June to Saturday 12th June. Visitors will be able to see a selection of stunning photographs showcasing historic Weston and North Somerset. Themes will range from Steep Holm to transport from days gone by. The photographs have been taken from the Know Your Place website. Volunteers will be stewarding the exhibition all week and will be on hand to explain the project and how it reflects the identity of the town.

Know Your Place is an online mapping resource that allows you to search through historic maps, images and information for the west of England. It can be explored at Weston Museum, supported by Weston-super-Mare Town Council, is working in partnership with North Somerset Council to enhance Know Your Place North Somerset. The project is supported by the National Lottery Fund and the Great Weston Heritage Action Zone.
